Rufus Frye

Rufus H. Frye of Bennett, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at The Laurels of Chatham. The graveside service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church with Pastor Travis Shelton officiating.

Rufus, better known as “C”, was born on July 28, 1942 in Moore County. He moved to Bennett in the late 1960’s and worked with Jones Brothers Sawmill. When not working, “C” spent much of his life enjoying the simple things in life. He enjoyed exploring the creeks, river banks and the nearby fishing pond.

Although “C” had no immediate family, he was considered a member of the Jones and Ritter families.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Church Cemetery Fund,  8616 Curtis Powers Rd., Bennett, NC 27208.
