Kathleen "Kathy" Cox

Beulah Mae Kathleen “Kathy” Maness Cox, 78, of Bennett, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Kenneth Bouldin and Rev. Robert Lee Kidd presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Kathy was born on December 19, 1940 to A.C. Maness and Lizzie Garner Maness. She was retired from Ramtex where she worked in the spinning department. She enjoyed reading, canning, feeding the hummingbirds, going to church and spending time with her family. She was known for her persimmon pudding.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Russell Odell Cox, of the home; daughters, Vicky Wright, of Ramseur, and Teresa Smith (David) of Robbins; son, Randy Cox of Siler City; brother, Bobby Maness, of Ramseur; grandchildren, Leslie, Ryne, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Mattie, Kamryne, and Rylane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Randolph Hospice, 446 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
