Frances Margaret Hiatt Ritter, 85, of Robbins passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at her home. She was born in Guilford County on April 28, 1936 to Jesse Clifford Hiatt and Ruth Marshall Hiatt. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church and loved attending as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. Frances loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Anderson Ritter, son, Wendell Harold Ritter; four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by children, Melvin Ray Ritter (Arlene), of Bennett, Lynn Elias Ritter (Glenda), of Robbins and Janet Ritter Kern (Richard), of Asheboro; sister, Fay Bedell, of Columbus, NC; brothers, Laurie Eugene Hiatt, Sr. (Lillie), of Coleridge and David M. Hiatt, of High Point, NC; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
The graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Smyrna UMC with Rev. Jerome Smith presiding.
