Deana Bockes

Deana Michelle “Missy” Brown Bockes, 48, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at her home. She was born in Hannibal, MO on July 4, 1973 to Cheryl Hill and Daniel Ray Brown. Missy was employed by Caterpillar. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed baking and spending quality time with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Missy is survived by her children, Erikka Emmons (Jonathan), of Bennett, Garth Stowe, of Asheboro and Riley Bockes, of the home; sisters, Danita Hodge (Terry), of Lexington and Stacy Earnhardt, of Lexington; brothers, Scott Brown (April), of Thomasville and Eric Brown (Melissa), of Lexington; grandchildren, Jadon, Levi and Savannah and a host of family and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Putnam Friends Church with Rev. Daniel Downing and Rev. Tim Cole presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Joyce-Brady Chapel.
