David Allen Allison, 75, of Bennett passed away on February 6, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House.  A graveside service will be held at Fall Creek Baptist Church, where he was a member, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 with Rev. Edwin Moore presiding. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Monday, February 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm for those who wish to sign the register.

David was born in Durham County on August 9,1945 to Eddie and Blanche Wall Allison. He worked as a survey crew chief in the Engineering Department for the City of Durham. He served in the USMC Reserves. David was an avid golfer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and Carolina Basketball. He loved spending time and telling stories with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Poole, Jane King, and Ann Byrd; brothers, Lee Grant Allison and Ervin Allison.

David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Kaye Cheek Allison, of the home; sons, Justin Allison and Andrew Allison, both of the home; brother, Fred Allison, of Durham, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1745 Fall Creek Church Rd., Bennett, NC 27208 or to the charity of your choice.

The family will be at the home of Ronnie and Debbie Cheek.
