Wanda Nance

April 14, 1938 — January 9, 2015

Mrs. Wanda Lee Cox Nance, age 76, of Jennings Road in Randleman, passed away at her home on Friday, January 09, 2015.

Services will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 3pm at the First Baptist Church in Asheboro, with Rev. Tim Strider, Rev. Scotty Carpenter, and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear View Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklinville.

Visitation will be held from 1:30pm-3:00pm prior to the service in the church, and other times at the home.

Mrs. Nance was a Randolph County native, and a retired Barber from Click’s Hair Specialist. She was the daughter of the late Yancey Young Cox and Bleeka Brewer Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Brothers-Ira Cox, Donald Cox, and Lloyd Cox; Sisters- Doris Cox York, Marie Cox Gee, and Martha Cox Teague. Mrs. Nance was a member of the First Baptist Church in Asheboro. She was also the former President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gideons. She loved her flowers, crocheting, reading, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, but most of all she loved the LORD.

Mrs. Nance is survived by her husband Clinton “Click” Nance of the home;  Children: Daughter-Terrie Nance McDowell & husband Bobby of Randleman, Deborah “Debbie” Nance Goforth & husband Rev. Douglas Goforth of Morganton; Son- Clinton Owens Nance II & wife Elizabeth of Asheboro; Sister-Betty Glass of Liberty; Grandchildren- Lee McDowell of Randleman, Brian Goforth & Brandon Goforth of Morganton, Magan Nance Kale & husband Sean of Asheboro, and Jessica Nance McDonald & husband Spc. Rodney McDonald also of Asheboro; Great-Grandchildren-Blake & Ryleigh McDonald, and Mackenzie Kale.
