Virginia Yow

Mrs. Virginia Kay “Jenny” Yow, 60, of Bennett, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (12/12/2015), at Pine Mountain Friends Church with Rev. Kyle Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Jenny was born in Chatham County, N.C. in 1955, daughter of the late Randall Edison Phillips and Estie Ellen Maness. She loved reading, gardening and decorating and was known for her love of animals. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in High Falls and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kennith, brother Herman Ray Phillips and sister Cheryl Phillips Green.

She is survived by two daughters, Autumn Yow of the home and Brandy Swaney and husband Ronald of Seagrove, N.C. and a host of family and friends.

The family has requested in Lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Joyce Brady Chapel  P.O. Box 89   Bennett, N.C. 27208 , to aid with funeral expenses.
