Seagrove: Vernie Robert Deaton 90, of 5880 Bennett Rd., Seagrove passed away Tuesday September 20, 2011 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday September 22, 2011 at 2 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett with Rev. Russell Chrisco officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mr. Deaton was a Randolph Co. native and was a retired farmer. Mr. Deaton attended Riverside Baptist Church.
Mr. Deaton is survived by: Wife- Bessie Gatlin Deaton of the home. Son- Bobby Steve Deaton & wife Janet of Seagrove. Daughters- Maxine Ayers of Wilmington and Betty Gray & husband Jerry of Asheboro. Sisters- Sula Phillips of Randleman, Mamie Dunn & Kathleen Macon both of Seagrove. 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday September 22, 2011 at Joyce-Brady Chapel , 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 from 12 noon- 2 pm. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
