Treva Kidd

Mrs. Treva Mae Jones Kidd, 86, of Bennett went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at First Health Hospice House following a brief illness. Mrs. Kidd was born on December 3, 1934 in Chatham County, NC to the late James Ted Jones and Clara Mabel Routh Jones.  She was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church of Bennett. She was employed by A.J. Schneierson and Sons in Siler City for 25 years. Ms. Kidd continued employment at Ithaca Hosiery in Robbins, NC until retirement and spent her last years cooking and caring for family, friends and neighbors.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Arthur Julian Kidd.  They made their home in Bennett where Mrs. Kidd lived until shortly before her death.

Mrs. Kidd is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Larry Purvis of Robbins and son and daughter-in-law Dale and Cecelia Kidd of Sanford; grandchildren, Brian Purvis (Keri), Kevin Purvis, Ben Purvis, Elizabeth Kidd Davis (Daniel), Scott Kidd (Rebekah), Ashley Kidd Wygonik (David) and James Kidd (Christina); great-grandchildren Sam Purvis, Faith Kidd, Leah Kidd, Rylee Davis, Adalyn Davis and Dylan Davis; brother Denson Jones (Becky) and a very special friend, Curtis Powers.  Treva Mae was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The funeral will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett with Dr. Neal Jackson and Rev. Robert Lee Kidd presiding. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 pm, after the service in the fellowship hall and other times at the home of daughter Debbie Kidd Purvis, 603 Calvin Rd., Robbins, NC 27325. The viewing room at Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 1:00-5:00 pm for those who would like to sign the register.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Peak Resources/Pinelake, First Health Moore Regional Hospital and First Health Hospice House for their wonderful care and kindness.
