Eagle Springs: Thelma Eudeana Hicks Rouse 87, of 7448 NC Hwy 705, Eagle Springs, NC passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2 pm at Bright Light Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Voncannon & Rev. Billy J. Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the Rouse Family Cemetery.
Ms. Rouse was born in Rich Mountain, TN and had been a homemaker after years in the textiles industry. At one time she was employed by Atomic Energies in Oak Ridge, TN. She was an Army Veteran where she served in World War II. She was a graduate of Sandhills Community College, and was listed In Who"s who's. Ms. Rouse was preceded in death by her Husband- Carl "Paul" Rouse. Son-James Grier Rouse. Grandson- Elon Rouse.
Ms. Rouse is survived by Daughters- Narcissus Jones & husband Gary of Parkton, Iris Moon & husband Robbie of High Falls, Lilac Kennedy & husband Roger of Robbins. Sons- Doyle Rouse of Asheboro, Keith Rouse & wife Kathy of Carthage, Gerald Rouse & wife Laura of Eagle Springs, Vaughn Rouse of Eagle Springs, & Adrian Rouse of Robbins. 18 Grandchildren 22 Great-Grandchildren 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Sisters- Lavada Robbins of Clinton TN., Lola Cox of Jacksboro, TN. Brother- James Hicks of Conover.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC and other times at her home.You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
