Biography

Russell Wayne Hussey, age 60, of Robbins, died Sunday, August 11th, 2013, peacefully surrounded by his family at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Wayne was born December 18, 1952 to the late Russell and Inez Caviness Hussey. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett, where he served on the Offering Committee and Baptismal Committee. He had recently retired from Moore County Public Works. He loved his family and friends but especially loved spending time with his 5 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Julie Nicodemus Hussey, of the home. One daughter, April Hussey Roberts, and husband Jonathan, of Robbins; One son, Jonathan Hussey, and wife Holly, of Robbins; a sister, Hilda Hussey Cockman, and husband Richard, of Robbins; Five grandchildren Jordan Hussey, Jarrett Hussey, Ashley Hussey, Jax Hussey, and Cole Roberts, all of Robbins.
The family will receive friends Monday night, Aug. 12, 2013 from 6-8p.m., at Joyce Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, and other times at the home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at 3pm at Beulah Baptist Church, 8454 Howard Mill Rd, Bennett, and burial will follow in church cemetery.
