Ronald Cecil Morgan, 70, of Safford, AZ, passed away on February 3, 2022 at his home. He was born in Randolph County on April 2, 1951 to Cecil Morgan and Lucille Murray Morgan. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Ron attended Bennett Elementary and Chatham Central where he was a member of the Beta Club. He attended UNC for accounting.

Ron was employed by Liberty and Siler City Police Departments for many years. He participated in the Big Brother Program and Police Cadets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers-in-law, Willard Hill and Robert Wilson and nephew, Marshall Scott.

He is survived by his sister, Vickie Morgan Dixon; special niece, Stacey Chevier and husband, Jason; very special great-niece and nephew, Payton and Tyler; brother, James Scott and his wife, Doris; sisters, Nellie Scott Wilson and Mae Scott Hill; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends in North Carolina and Arizona.

A graveside memorial service will be held on June 11, 2002 at 11:00 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Bennett with Rev. David Hicks officiating.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Christian Church cemetery fund, 5946 Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Bennett, NC 27208.
