Ronald Leo Gilliland

June 14, 1934 - November 9, 2013

Mr. Ronald Leo Gilliland 79, of 2270 Bonlee-Carbonton Rd., Goldston passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church where he was a member with Rev. Mike Garner & Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gilliland was born in Danville, VA and was an Army Veteran.Mr. Gilliland worked as a poultry farmer for over 50 years until he retired. He was truly a dedicated family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Gilliland is survived by his wife of 57 yrs.- Augusta Hancock Gilliland of the home. Daughter- Ginger Azar & husband Parviz of California. Sons- Allen Gilliland & wife Sonya of Goldston, & Randy Gilliland & companion Kristen Spulka of Goldston. Grandchildren-Seth Gilliland, Eiden, Zachary, & Samuel Azar. Mother- Alice G. Hammer. Brothers-Lionel Gilliland & J.B. Gilliland. Sister- Vivian Petty.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at his home. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
