Rodney Brian Brady

Rodney Brian Brady, of Bear Creek, North Carolina, passed away on August 18, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1967, and was a lifelong resident of Chatham County.

Rodney was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church and a graduate of Chatham Central High School, where he made lasting memories and had record-breaking seasons as a pitcher for the Bears baseball team. His love of sports and the outdoors continued throughout his life.

An avid sportsman, Rodney enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a deep interest in military history and spent many hours watching the History and Military channels. Each year around Thanksgiving, watching “Tanksgiving” was a tradition he looked forward to.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Stumpf Brady; his daughter, Jordan Brady Mains and her husband, Larry; his son, James Aaron Brady and his wife, Brooke; his grandson, Jesse Luke Brady; and his mother, Tina Phillips Brady.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse “Bub” Brady.

Rodney will be remembered for his love of family, his lifelong connection to Chatham County, his passion for the outdoors, and the interests and traditions that brought him joy.

A memorial service will be held at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church. Details are pending and will be posted as soon as they are complete.
