Mr. Robert Earl Hundley, 74, of Robbins, N.C. went to be with his Lord and Saviour Sunday, February 28, 2016. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Bethel Church of God, with Pastor Larry May and Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. The family will recieve friends at the church from 1p.m. - 2:45 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Robert was born in Rockingham County, N.C. in 1941, son of the late Cyrus Russell Hundley and Delia Maude Duncan. He worked as a lable machine operator for Luck's Food and retired due to declining health. He loved to fish and enjoyed Nascar Racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and his only son Earl Ray Hundley.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Esther Dunlap Hundley of the home, Three daughters, Cheryl Prince and husband Charles of Franklinville, N.C., Donna Perry and husband James of Robbins, N.C. and Robyn Hunt of Seagrove, N.C., One sister, Margaret Neal and husband Melvin of Robbins, N.C., Four brothers, Butch Hundley of Essex, Md., Kenneth Hundley of Seagrove, N.C., Donnie Hundley of Ramseur, N.C. and Michael Hundley and wife Anna of Kentucky. Eleven grandchildren and Two Great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Joyce Brady Chapel P.O. Box 89 Bennett, N.C. 27208, to aid with funeral expenses.
