Nancy Kidd Brady

Nancy Jane Kidd Brady, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two infant children and her brother, Roby G. Kidd Jr. Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gurney Andrew Brady of the home; one son, Randall Keith “Randy” Brady and wife, Emily, of Bennett; one daughter, Elizabeth Faith “Beth” Culberson and husband, Brian, of Bennett; brother William “Bill” Kidd and wife, Luann, of Bennett; grandchildren, Caleb Brady, Seth Brady, Emma Kathryn Davis (Caleb), Amos Brady (Sasha), Grayson Culberson (Camryn), and Violet Culberson; one great grandson, Asa Davis; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Nancy graduated from Bennett High School in 1956. She graduated from Campbell College, Elon College, and earned two masters’ degrees at UNC Greensboro. Nancy was a retired public educator with over 32 years of service. 

Nancy enjoyed storytelling, sewing, crafting, flea marketing, reading mysteries and solving puzzle books. She attended Beulah Baptist Church all of her life. She taught Sunday school for 64 years and served in the choir and as a church librarian for several decades.

A very special thank you to Darlene Culberson for the wonderful care and love she showed Nancy over the last several months. 

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, with Dr. Neal Jackson presiding. The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 1:30-2:45 pm and in the fellowship hall following the committal and at other times at the family home.
