Greensboro: Michael Anthony Chapman 49, passed away suddenly on Saturday November 12,2011 at his home in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be Tuesday November 15, 2011 at 6:30 pm at the Broach Theatre,520 South Elm Street, in Downtown Greensboro.
Mike was born August 4, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the son of Perry & Paula Chapman. He was an entrepreneur and owned Road Runner Auto Body with Richard Gilliland, his partner of 21 years. A mechanical genius who could fix anything, Mike was a member of the Triad Nightcrawlers, a local four-wheel club. He was a tremendous friend and loved by many across the country.
He is survived by his partner-Richard Gilliland of Greensboro, and his mother-Paula Davin, and stepfather-Gary Davin of Reno.His brother-Perry Chapman, of Reno. His sister- Terri Goudreou of Byron, Georgia. His sister-in-law- Sherri Schwarz-Strathmeyer, of York, Pennsylvania. His brother-in-law-Wesley Gilliland, of Waco, Texas. He is also survived by four nieces- Shana Schwarz, Danielle Goudreou, Nikki Goudreou, Kenzie Chapman. Five nephews- Wes Frazier, Joesph Gilliland, Adam Gilliland, Jason Chapman, and Cory Chapman. His foster sons- Robert & Josh Knight. And two Cocker Spaniels- Abby & Sophie.
