Michael Adams

Mr. Michael Steven “Bear” Adams, 69 of Bennett, N.C. died March 29, 2017 at his home. In accordance with his wishes, his body was donated to aid in medical research. The Tri- County Ruritan Club will hold a Memorial Life Celebration Thursday evening (4/13/2017) at 7:00 p.m., at the Pleasant Grove Community Building  7239 N.C. Hwy 22 in Bennett, N.C. .

“Bear”, as Mike was affectionately known, was an 18 year member of the Tri-County Ruritan Club and took great joy in helping with yearly events like the Flatwoods Festival, The Christmas parade and any other project he could. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Ranger in Vietnam.  He sold insurance for Southland Life and Life of Georgia and ING. In his spare time he enjoyed golf and basketball.

He is survived by his life partner, Linda Odette of the home, sister Janice Adams of Conway, S.C. and brother Jerry Adams of Fayetteville, N.C., cousin Ray Adams and wife Margretta also of Fayetteville, N.C.  and a host of family and friends.
