Marie Phillips

Bear Creek: Zonie “Marie” Teague Phillips 78, of 9384 Siler City-Glendon Rd. passed away Wednesday March 14, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 17,2012 at 2 pm at Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was a member, with Rev. Darrell Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Ms. Phillips was a Chatham county native and had worked at Selig’s until she came home to care for her husband for 27 yrs. She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon & Mamie Phillips Teague, and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Phillips, Grandson-Jeremy Moses, & Grandaughter- Casey Estridge. Ms. Phillips enjoyed working in her yard & garden, and loved to watch the hummingbirds.
Ms. Phillips is survived by Daughters- Cindy Phillips of Morehead City, NC, Wanda Estridge of Bennett, NC, Nancy & husband Donnie Peters of Bear Creek, Lisa & husband Charlie Groves of Durham, Maine. Son- Jim & wife Joyce Phillips of Sanford. Brother- Claude Teague of Siler City. Sisters- Shirley Phillips of Bear Creek, Maggie Cox of Bear Creek, Sylvia Moody of Siler City. 9 Grandchildren 14 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday March 17, 2012 from 12:30-2 pm at Hickory Grove Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at her residence on 9384 Siler City-Glendon Rd., Bear Creek. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
