Maria Poe

Maria Lynelle Rimmer Poe, 45, of Bear Creek passed away on February 12, 2021 at her home.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Brush Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Taylor, Rev. Kyle Green and Rev. Robert Kidd presiding. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm for those who wish to sign the register.

Maria was born in Moore County on October 24, 1975 to Chesley and Carolyn Kidd Rimmer. She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and an office administrator for Edward Jones in Lillington. Maria loved the Lord and was very active in the church. She enjoyed singing, working with children, visiting and helping people and spoiling her dogs. She loved the beach, clothes and always being well-dressed and  cherished time spent with her family.

Maria is survived by her husband of 23 years, Charlie “Dennis” Poe, of the home; parents, Chesley and Carolyn Rimmer, of Bennett; sister, Ellen Rimmer, of Carthage; sister-in law, Linda Faucette (Bill), of Randleman; brothers-in law, Jimmy Poe (Susan), of Goldston and Virgil Poe, of Siler City; nieces and nephews, Bradley Wilkie (Erin), Beverly Denning (Lee), Ryan Poe and Alyssa Oldham; great-niece, Mackenzie Denning and a host of family and friends.
