Loretta Allred Moore

On June 30, 2024 Loretta Allred Moore passed away at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Needham’s Grove Baptist Church with Pastor D.J. Harry presiding. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 for friends to sign the register.

She was born in Moore County, NC on January 26, 1947 to Dause Allred and Bertie Bruce Allred. In addition to her parents, Loretta was proceeded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roy Moore and siblings; Eugene Allred, Sadie Allred (Sanders) East, John Morgan, Jessie Morgan, Faye Morgan Brewer, Medford Allred, Howard Allred.

Loretta is survived by sons, Wesley Moore and wife, Tammy and Scottie Moore and wife, DyAnna; daughter, Christina McNeill and husband, Anthony; eight grandchildren: Luke (wife, Chelsey), Collin, Brittany, Tyler (wife, Lauren), Caitlin, Shae, Allison and Bristol; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Erica; her brother, Harold Allred and many nieces and nephews.

Loretta worked most of her adult life in local hosiery mills. When the mills began to close, she took the opportunity to attend college, where she received a degree in Early Childhood Development. With this, she was able to work in daycare, which had been a dream of hers for many years. She went on to work as a daycare assistant at Kountry Kids up until she retired at the age of 70. Loretta loved to spend time with family and friends and never wanted anyone to leave her home hungry. Her favorite hobbies were to tend to her flower gardens, read the Bible and attend church. Most of all in life, she wanted for everyone to love and accept God into their lives.
