Biography

Seagrove: Leon Mashburn 84 of Seagrove passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 pm with Rev. Matthew Gunter & Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating.
Mr. Mashburn was born in Moore County, and was a retired truck driver with Luck's in Seagrove. He was the son of the late Brooks & Jennie Dowd Mashburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife- Rosa Mashburn. Son- Tony Mashburn. Brother- Larry Mashburn. Sisters- Angie Maude Oldham & Mary Sue Garner.
Mr. Mashburn is survived by Daughters- Hilda King of Robbins, & Tina Turner & husband Chad of Asheboro. Brothers- Joe Mashburn & wife Sherry of Carthage, & Jerry Mashburn of Carthage. Grandchildren- Pam Rush & husband Lynn, Leon King, Crystal King, Sherry Mashburn, Victoria & Elizabeth Turner. 8 Great-Grandchildren. Special Friend- Jean Raye. Step-Sons- Spencer & Josh Goins. Step-Grandchildren- Zander & Zylar Goins.
