Laura Christine Teague Moore, 79, of Seagrove, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Moore Regional Hospital. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Smyrna Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Farrell Hussey presiding. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.

Laura was born in Moore County on July 22, 1943 to James and Mary Ola Brown Teague. She owned and operated Pot Luck Pottery and specialized in traditional stoneware for everyday use. Her signature colors were Dixie Classic, Splatterware and Cobalt Blue. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. She loved little children and spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Wayne “John” Moore; one brother and two sisters.

Laura is survived by her children, Dexter Moore (Tonya), of Siler City, Amy Harmon (Tripp), of Pittsboro and Riley Moore, of Antioch, TN; step-daughter, Cathy Moore of Bennett; sisters, Mildred Moore, of Seagrove, Lois Richardson (Jack), of Seagrove, Ginny Rushing (Larry), of Mt. Croghan, SC and Ruby Bruns Deaton, of Chattanooga, TN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
