Mr. Jimmy Lee Williamson 53, of 4357 Walt Brown Road, Bennett passed away at his home on Monday, October 7, 2013. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11 am at Needham’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove, with Rev. James Cockram, and Pastor Frank Thacker officiating.
Mr. Williamson was a Moore County native and was member of Harmony Baptist Church. He also worked as a weaver at Ramtex, before he became disabled. He loved sports, including Nascar, football, basketball, and fishing. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, and was always a Ford car and truck fan. He loved his family and most of all, his LORD. He was the son of Cranford L. Williamson and the late Vernice Williamson. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by Daughters- Brandie LeAnn Williamson, and Sarah Kate Williamson. Mr. Williamson is survived by Wife of 31 yrs.- Mary Britt Williamson of the home. Sons- Robbie L. Williamson, and Jacob C. Williamson of the home. Father-Cranford L. Williamson and Step-Mother-Irene Williamson of Seagrove. Step-Sister Dina Owens of Carthage. Friends are welcome to visit the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 1-5pm and the morning of the service at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at his home. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Joyce-Brady Chapel, P.O. Box 89, Bennett, NC 27208 to help with funeral expenses.
