Jimmy Dale Snelling

Jimmy Dale Snelling, 65, of High Falls, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 his home. The graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Pleasant Hill UMC with Pastor Vic Hill presiding.

Jimmy was born in Cumberland County on December 25, 1957 to Frank and Aline Barnes Snelling. He was a construction worker and enjoyed music. Jimmy was very talented in crafting things with his hands. He loved building things, life, family and friends. He adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dora Thompson Snelling, of the home; children, Frankie Snelling, of High Falls and Jimmie Seawell (Lawrence), of Carthage; sister, Wanda McCaskill (Marvin), of Carthage; grandchildren, Brittany Oldham (Ryan), of Robbins, Bradley Seawell, of Carthage and Brandon Seawell, of Carthage; great-grandchild, Iris Oldham, of Robbins and a host of family and friends.
