Iris Moon

August 11, 1961 — December 15, 2014

Mrs. Iris Elisa Rouse Moon, age 53, of NC Highway 22 of Carthage, died Monday December 15, 2014 at her home.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00pm at Bright Light Baptist in Robbins, with Rev. Billy Joe Brady and Rev. Ralph Voncannon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rouse Family Cemetery in Eagle Springs.

Visitation will be held Wednesday night, December 17, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Joyce Brady Chapel in Bennett.

Iris was born in Moore County, and was the daughter of the late Carl Grier Rouse and Thelma Hicks Rouse. During her lifetime she had worked at Kingwood Nursing Home in Aberdeen as an Activites Coordinator. She also loved to draw, paint, and dance. Most of all she loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother, James Grier Rouse, and her Nephew Gerald Elon Rouse.

She is survived by her husband, James Robert “Robbie” Moon, Daughter- Tonya Cranford & husband Jonathan of Seagrove; Sons- Steven Phillips & wife Jennie of Robbins, and Brandon Phillips of the home;  Step-son-Austin Moon of HighFalls; Sisters-Narcissus Jones & husband Gary of Parkton, and Lilac Kennedy & husband Roger of Robbins; Brothers-Doyle Rouse of Asheboro, Keith Rouse & wife Kathy of Carthage, Gerald Rouse & wife Laura of Eagle Springs, Adian Rouse of Robbins, and Vaughn Rouse of Eagle Springs. Grandsons- Braxtin Phillips & Brennan Cranford; Granddaughter –Alburey Phillips;

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Joyce-Brady Chapel to assist with the family with funeral expenses.
