Harold Ray Hussey

Mr. Harold Ray Hussey, 86, of Robbins, NC, died Monday evening, February 27, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Smyrna Church with Rev. Farrell Hussey, Rev. Colton Moore and Charles Mabe presiding.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Harold was born October 10, 1936, son of the late Eldridge Hussey and Edith Sanders Hussey. During his life, he enjoyed farming, gardening, woodworking and any task that involved working with his hands. He was an avid bird and coon hunter and loved to go fishing at the coast. He was a family man that adored all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Cox and Kiddie Ann.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dora of the home, four children: Kathy H. Bouldin (Barry), Billy Ray Hussey (Penny), Sandra Gale Hussey (Brian) and Penny H. Ritter (Bryan). Four sisters; Bernice, Estelle, Judy and Dot and three brothers, Johnny, Danny and Tim; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great,great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
