Biography

Siler City: Graham C. Dowd 87, of 3485 S. Second Ave., Siler City, NC passed away Saturday March 17, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 11 am at the Loves Creek Baptist Church where he was a member with the Rev. Bob Boyd & Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mr. Dowd was a Chatham Co. native and was the son of the late Thomas Alton & Lillie E. Burke Dowd. Mr. Dowd retired from the Boling Chair Co. where he was a machine operator. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sara Jo Dowd. Mr. Dowd enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Mr. Dowd is survived by Daughters- Darlene Vasquez & husband Roberto of Siler City, Teresa Holloway & husband Jerry of Tampa, Fl. Son- Jeffrey Dowd & wife Melynna of Welcome, NC. Grandchildren- Robert Wesley Vasquez, Lorenzo Abel Vasquez, Nickolas Lee Holloway, & Christopher Lee Holloway. Brother-James "Jim" Dowd of Siler City.
Visitation will be held Monday March 19, 2012 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at his residence. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
