Mrs. Frances “Mozelle” Routh, 93, of Bennett, N.C. , died Monday, June 5, 2017 at Chatham Hospital in Siler City. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyce – Brady Chapel in Bennett. The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.; at Bennett Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Strider and Glenn Williamson presiding. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Mozelle was born in Richmond County, N.C. in 1923, daughter of the late Frank McNeill and Jessie Mae Hancock McNeill. During her life she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, reading, spending time with her great - grandchildren and attending church. Her membership at Bennett Baptist brought her great joy, serving there in any capacity she could. Railroad Mills snuff was a staple in the life of Mozelle. She retired from Klopman Mills after 32 years of dedicated service. Mozelle loved her family and friends dearly and was known often to quote, “I love life". In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by by sisters, Katie Pearline and Aildean Routh; son-in-law, Alan R. “Buck “ Lynch; brother James McNeill; and her husband of 60 years, Earl Routh in 2001.

She is survived by daughters, Joan Lynch of Asheboro and Dianne Parker and husband Kirby of Bennett; two sisters, Ruth Oldham of Bennett and Betty Caviness and husband Edsel of Burlington; three grandchildren, Greg Lynch and wife Angela of Seagrove; Tina Stephens and husband David of Asheboro, and Kim Williamson and husband Glenn of Bennett; seven great-grandchildren, Shellie, Scottie, Abbie and Ellie Stephens of Asheboro; Kayla and Avery Williamson of Bennett and  Marannda Lynch of Seagrove; Sister-In-Law, Peggy Routh of Bennett and a host of family and friends.

The family has requested in Lieu of Flowers, contributions be made to Bennett Baptist Church / Cemetery Fund  P.O. Box 91 Bennett, N.C. 27208 or the Chatham Council on Aging  112 Village Lake Dr. Siler City, N.C. 27344   Attn: Vickie Cheek.
