Robbins: Mrs. Lucy “Derotha” Garner Allred 95, of 228 Allred Ln., Robbins passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the home of her daughter Verline Myrick. Graveside Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2 pm at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Allred was a Moore County native and was retired from the textile industry. She was a homemaker and loved to work outside in her yard and garden. Mrs. Allred was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Riley B. & Lillie Moore Garner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Husband- Clyde Allred, Son- Vernon “Buck” Allred, and Granddaughters- Karen Myrick & Sharon A. Craven.
She is survived by Daughter- Verline A. Myrick of Robbins. Sisters- Mary “Evelyn” Mohagen of Stanley, NC, Josephine Forkner of Durham, NC and Velma York of Seagrove,NC. Brother- Daniel Lee Garner of Carthage, NC. 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, & 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at the home of her daughter at 176 D.Bruce Rd., Robbins, NC 27325. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
