Clyde Brown Jr

Bennett: Clyde Brown Jr. 73, of 5187 Lewis Brown Rd., Bennett passed away Saturday October 29, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday November 1, 2011 at 2 pm at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church with Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was a Randolph Co. native and had retired from Energizer in Asheboro where he was in special maintance. Mr. Brown was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, where he served on the cemetery committee, a member of the Adult Sunday School class, and served as a usher. He loved the youth group at the church and helped established the recreational facilities. He loved helping others, restoring & collecting John Deere lawn mowers and restoring old Broncos. He enjoyed working outside, fishing, and woodworking. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending every chance he had with them.
Mr. Brown is survived by Wife- Dorothy Pugh Brown of the home. Daughter- Penny Rigney & husband Pete of Bennett. Son- Timmy Lee Brown of Bennett. Grandchildren- Brandon & Brittany Beal, Marcus Rigney, & Kara Brown. Sister Louise Womble of Siler City. Brothers- Ernest Brown of Siler City, Vernon Brown of Ramseur, Frank Brown of Siler City, Richard Brown of Pittsboro, Bobby Brown of Bennett, & Jimmy Brown of Knightdale.
Visitation will be held Monday October 31, 2011 at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC from 6-8 pm and other times at his home.
