Clarence Short

Robbins: Mr. Clarence Lee Short 83, of 147 Charlie S. Rd., Robbins, NC 27325 passed away March 10, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11 am at Prosperity Friends Meeting with Pastor Josh Smith, Rev. Michael Fulp, Rev. Tim Strider, Rev. Robert L. Kidd, & Rev. Beverly Jessup officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Short was a Moore County native and was retired from Bookkeeping and Farming. He was an active member of Prosperity Friends Meeting where he served as Superintendent for 35 yrs. He was a kind man with great character, with that came a lot of friends. He was the son of the late Charles & Ella Scott Short. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Wife-Ruth Lambert Short, Sisters- Dorothy S. Williams & Shelby S. Phillips, and Step-Sons- Ronald & Kenneth Maness.
Mr. Short is survived by Wife- Leah B. Short of the home. Daughters- Kathy S. Owens & husband Pat of Jackson Springs and Deanna S. Dangerfield & husband Keith of Whispering Pines. Son-Alan D. Short & wife Elizabeth, of Apex. Sister-Ruby Fuller, of Southern Pines. Step-Daughters- Melissa Thomas of Siler City & Beth Maness of Asheboro. 12 Grandchildren 7 Great-Grandchildren 2 Step-Grandchildren 1 Step-Great-Grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at his home. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
