Carolyn Kidd

Carolyn Laverne Elkins Kidd, 79, of Eagle Springs, entered her heavenly home on Friday, December 9, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional. The funeral  will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Chaney presiding. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm for friends to sign the register.

Carolyn was born in Chatham County on April 12, 1943 to Wilton and Edna Hill Elkins. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed spending time in God’s word. Carolyn was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, recipe books, writing and drawing. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her infant son, Keith Kidd and brother, Grover Elkins.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Williams (Wayne), of Eagle Springs and Beth Wade, of Lake Wylie, SC;  brother, Edison Elkins; grandchildren, Janna Williams Kennedy (Matthew), Weston Williams (Hailie), Will Wade, Charlie Wade, and Alice Wade; great-grandchildren, Hadley Williams and Morgan Kennedy as well as many family and friends.
