Bud Garner

May 7, 1924 - April 17, 2013

Robbins: Mr. Elmo "Bud" Garner 88, of 160 Gibson Rd., Robbins passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 19, 2013 at 3 pm at Beulah Baptist Church where he was the oldest member with Dr. Neal Jackson & Rev. Robert L. Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Garner was a Moore County native and had retired from Robbins Mill & Chirpy's BBQ. Mr. Garner was a dedicated member to his church where he not only was the oldest member, but served as Deacon, Choir member, past Pulpit committee, & Grounds committee. He loved farming, gardening, and especially loved his family.
Mr. Garner is survived by Wife-Velna Caviness Garner of the home. Son- Ronald Garner & wife Faye of Robbins. Daughters- Wanda G. Ellington & husband Steve, of Robbins, Debra G. Ritter & husband Ronnie of Robbins. Brothers- Jimmie H. Garner & wife Dot of Robbins, Willie A. "Bill" Garner & wife Janelle of Robbins. 5 Grandchildren 12 Great-Grandchildren
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at his home. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 8454 Howards Mill Rd., Bennett, NC. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
