Betty Richardson

Mrs. Betty Vandyke Richardson , 80, of 6210 Little Beane Store Rd. died Monday July 11, 2011 at her home.
Funeral service will be 2:00P.M. Thursday July 14, 2011 at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett with Rev. Howard Moffitt officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill UMC cemetery , Seagrove, N.C.
Mrs. Richardson was a Knottingham, Pa native and was the daughter of the late Glen and Polly Ratlif Vandyke. She was the widow of Clinton S. Richardson who died in 1994. During her younger years, she worked for the FBI in criminal fingerprint division. Mrs. Richardson was a Townsend Farms poultry grower for 32 years and also was owner of Richardson Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Pleasant Hill UMC but attended Woodfern Baptist Church.
Survivors: Daughters- Glenda R. Purvis and husband Andy of Seagrove. Sharon R. Davis and husband Sid of Grays Chapel. Dana R. Dillon and husband John of Asheboro. Son- Thomas “Mudgrip ” Richardson of Seagrove. Brother- Kenneth Vandyke of Rising Sun, Md. Grandchildren- Ethan, Jacob, and Hannah Richardson, and Christopher and Matthew Davis. Great-grandchildren- Ryan and Tricia Davis.
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wed. July 13, 2011 at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett.
