Bessie Phillips Andrew

Bessie Ellen Phillips Andrew, of Robbins, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at Rocky River Friends Church with Pastor David Hobson presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The visitation will be on Wednesday, January 7th from 6-8 pm at Joyce Brady Chapel.

Bessie was born in Orange County on June 27th, 1938, to William Clifton Phillips and Gladys Hicks Phillips. She was a member of Rocky River Friends Church where she taught Sunday school. She previously worked in textiles as a clerk for 30 years before she retired. She loved to be outside and work in her flowers, do sudoku puzzles and was an avid reader. She adored her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Andrew.

Bessie is survived by her 2 sons, Dwain Andrew of Seagrove and Darrell Andrew (Renee) of Robbins, 5 grandchildren, Regina Mabe, Celes Sandt, Justin Andrew, Chasity Agnew and Nicki Garner; and 8 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
