Barney Brady

Bennett: Mr. Barney Edison Brady 92, of 255 Charlie Garner Rd., Bennett, NC 27208 passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2 pm at Fall Creek Baptist Church where he was a member with Rev. Scott Allmon & Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brady was a Chatham Co. native and was a retired farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his dog “Sue” and enjoyed woodworking. He was a great example of a father and husband. He was a man of strength, a man of few words, and taught by example. He was blessed to have had two great wives and his kids were blessed to have had two great mothers. He was preceded in death by his first wife- Geneva E. Caviness Brady and a Step-Son Dale Phillips.
Mr. Brady is survived by Wife- Lois C. Brady of the home. Daughter- Jo Ann Williams & husband Wayne of Clemmons. Sons- Jimmie Brady & wife Yvonne of Charlotte. Donnie Brady & wife Brenda of Jamestown. Phillip Brady & wife Pamela of Bennett. Step-Daughters- Jeanie Scott & husband Larry of Siler City. Mary Lois Thomas & husband Roger of Sanford. Brother- Homer Ray Brady & wife Velna of Robbins. 15 Grandchildren. 19 Great-Grandchildren. 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at the home.
