Mrs. Wanda Lou Parker, 69, of Bennett, N.C. died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, N.C. . The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the narthex at Bennett Baptist Church from 11:00 – 11:50 a.m. and the service will start at 12:00 noon. Rev. Tim Strider and John Wayne Phillips will conduct the service and burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will return to the fellowship hall following the cemetery committal and receive friends there. Wanda was born in Moore County, N.C. in 1948, daughter of the late Lee Roy Brady and Sally Lou Brady Ryan. She graduated from Chatham Central High School and Sandhills Community College. She retired from Blue Cross & Blue Shield after more than 20 years of dedicated service as a claims specialist. She loved Carolina Basketball and the Atlanta Braves and was very passionate in her support of both teams. She loved attending church and enjoyed the closeness she had with her friends and family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Parker.  She is survived by two brothers; Joe Brady and wife Karen of Gibsonville and Carlton Brady and wife Cathy of Asheboro; Nieces and Nephews, Kristin Brady, Logan Brady and wife McKenzie, Lindsay Marshall and husband Cody, Chelsea Zimmerman and husband Ryan, Olivia Teeters; Great Nieces, Emma Zimmerman and Macy Marshall and Great Nephew Wade Zimmerman; her beloved church family and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Randolph County for their support and care during this time.
