Charles Batchelor

August 28, 1960 — November 27, 2017

Mr. Charles Edward "Eddie" Batchelor, 57, of Siler City died peacefully at his home Monday, November 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 11:00 - 12:45 at the Joyce - Brady Chapel in Bennett and the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. . Joe White will officiate the service and burial will follow at Green Level Baptist Church Cemetery (8509 Green Level Church Rd.) in Cary.

Eddie was born in Wake County, N.C. in 1960, son of the late Charles Eugene Batchelor and Linda Mae Overton Batchelor. He loved his family homestead in Green Level and growing up in that community. He quickly learned well drilling in his youth and made a career of doing that for over 30 years. He loved and rode Harley-Davidson motorcycles from his early teens on until his declining health would no longer permit him to. Eddie loved his family and friends with a passion, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Steve and his niece Jessica. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Johnnie of the home, son Robbie of Apex, daughters, Madaline Stephenson of Maggie Valley and Stacy Wood of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Lynn Jones of Apex; Seven grandchildren, Austin, Daniel, Baymon, Savannah, Braxton, Hailey and Emmette and a host of family and friends.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
