Walter Tucker, II

Walter Thomas “Tommy” Tucker II, 51, of Bennett, N.C., died Sunday, February 5, 2017. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 10, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Fall Creek Baptist Church in Bennett, N.C. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 11, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro, N.C, with Rev. Scott Almon and Rev. Tom Currie presiding.

Tommy was born in Randolph County on November 3, 1965 to parents Walter Thomas Tucker I and Judith DeVonne Cagle. He was a hardworking man, who never met a stranger. When he wasn’t live hauling for Pilgrim’s Pride, he enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, and cooking. Above all, he loved to be with his family. He was a member of Horseshoe Presbyterian Church, and attended Fall Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Melissa Auman Tucker of the home; son, Tyler Tucker of the home; daughter, Casey Renee Collins and husband Gregory of Bennett; mother, Judy Hill of Bennett; sisters, Tanya Meggs and husband Ricky of Carthage, and Kimberly Hill of White Lake, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and hunting buddies.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Horseshoe Presbyterian Church, 1540 S Carbonton Rd, Sanford, N.C. 27330, and Fall Creek Baptist Church, 1732 Fall Creek Church Rd., Bennett, N.C. 27208.
