Walker Singletary

January 12, 1943 — May 9, 2015

Mr. Walker Dalton Singletary, age 72, of Dover Church Road in Seagrove, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Cone Health Hospital in Greensboro. He was the son of the late Lee Roy Singletary and Edna Marie Young Singletary.  He was a retired furniture builder. He was preceded in death by his Brother Fletcher Singletary, Sister Faye Singletary, and grandchildren Derick, Shane, and April Singletary.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church in Robbins with Pastor Margie Williamson and Robert Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45-pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the church prior to the service, and other times at the home of a daughter, Paula Morgan on Dover Church Road in Seagrove.

He is survived by his wife Jewel Brewer Singletary of the home; Daughters-Lisa Singletary of Bennett, and Paula S. Morgan and husband James of Seagrove; Sons-Walker Darin Singletary of Seagrove, and Steve Singletary of Seagrove; Sisters-Royalene Shelton and husband Thurman of Seagrove, Mary Ann Maness of Seagrove, and Emily Coen of Florida; Sister-in-Laws- Blanch Brewer of Robbins, Nelda Brewer of Seagrove, and Barbara Lamer & husband Eugene of New Hampshire; Brother-in-Law-Jack Garner of Winston-Salem;  Grandchildren-Christopher, Stephanie, Sy, Talia, Austin, Zachary Singletary,  Destiny Holt, and Cristin Gill; Great-Grandchildren- Trevor, Nicholas,   & Vadin Singletary,  Alexia  & Heaven McDuffie ,  and Valerie Holt; Several nieces and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to help pay funeral expenses to Joyce-Brady Chapel, P.O. Box 89, Bennett, NC 27208.
