Mr. Roland "Mack" Hancock, 66, of Bear Creek, N.C., died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. The family will receive friends Monday, October 2, 2017 from 2:00 - 3:45 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Goldston and the funeral service will begin at 4:00p.m. Pastor Rick Miller, Pastor Larry Henderson and Pastor Walter Jones will conduct the service and burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Mack was born in Chatham County, N.C. on June 4, 1951, son of the late Roland Hayes Hancock and Ruby Mae Johnson Hancock. Mack was a man of many talents. He drove trucks, moved houses and was a "jack of all trades". He installed equipment for poultry farmers for many years prior to his declining health. He repaired clocks and loved to restore antique cars and trucks and owned and operated "Mack's Carports". Mack never met a stranger and was known for his sense of humor and sharp wit shared often with all the guys at "Harper's Crossroad". He adored his family, especially his grandchildren, having spent many precious times teaching them all he could about life. Mack was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Geraldine Vesalga and one brother-in law Tommy Coley.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy B. Hancock of the home, Two daughters; Alison Mabe and husband Travis of Bear Creek and Michele Luther and husband Steven of Goldston; Three sisters, Ernestine Coley of Sanford, Helen Woody and husband Bill of Bear Creek and Brenda Goodwin of Sanford; Brother in Law, Ed Vesalga also of Sanford; Three grandchildren, Mack Dayton Luther and Sadie Michele Luther of Goldston and Tori Marie Mabe of Bear Creek; Many neices and nephews and a host of family and friends.

In addition to flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church c/o General Fund 396 N.C. Hwy. 42 Goldston, N.C. 27242.
