Mrs. Pearl Routh Willett, 98, of Bennett, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at her home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Joyce - Brady Chapel in Bennett. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at the Bennett Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Strider and John Wayne Phillips presiding. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Pearl was born in Randolph County in 1919, daughter of the late Oscar and Cora Lineberry Routh. She spent most of her life in Bennett surrounded by a host of family and friends, where she was a homemaker to her husband and six children. In addition to her parents Pearl was preceded in death in 1978, by her husband C. Rudolph Willett and her son, Rudolph "Tink" Willett in 2015; sisters, Hassie Routh Jones, Nora Routh Kidd and Edna Routh Andrews; brothers, Lester "Bud " Routh, Worth Routh and Leo David Routh and a great-granddaughter, Courtney Willett.

She is survived by her children, James "Bub" Willett and wife Vernece of Asheboro, Emma W. Hoffman of Lexington, Bill Willett and wife Pat of Bennett, Elaine W. Estridge and husband Tony of Bennett, Ila "Dottie" W. Mendenhall and husband Larry of Siler City, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Cathryn Solowsky and the Chatham Council on Aging for all of their help and support in caring for Mrs. Pearl over the last few years. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions to the Chatham Council on Aging P.O. Box 715 Pittsboro, N.C. 27312.
