Mary “Jane” Brewer Brady

Mary Jane Brewer Brady, 95 , of 53 E Buffalo in Bennett NC  died 9/2/15 at 7:24AM

Mrs. Brady was born in Chatham County on February 11, 1920, the daughter of William C.  and Myrtis (Presnell) Brewer.  Jane was a charter member of Bennett Baptist Church.  Jane and her late brother Pete Brewer along with her husband Eulon operated Brewer’s Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Siler City for almost 40 years.  She enjoyed serving the public and considered it her honor to help people look nice and present themselves well in their public and professional lives.  Of particular note were the many law enforcement officers that brought their uniforms to Brewer’s Laundry over the years. Jane was a Charter Member of Chatham County Crime Stoppers and was a faithful volunteer for the Board of Elections.  Her passion was traveling and she had visited all 50 states, making many memories with her family all along the way.  Jane always said she was the happiest when she was in a car seat riding down the road.  She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, James Eulon Brady; brothers, Max, Wade, Vernon and Pete Brewer.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Parker of Graham, NC; two brothers, Charles Brewer and wife Barbara of Bennett; and Jack Brewer and wife Mildred of Siler City; grandsons, Shawn Stovall of Wilmington NC and Jason Stacey of Graham.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bennett Baptist Church, Bennett NC on 9/13/15 at 1PM with Rev. Tim Strider officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the family receiving their condolences in the fellowship hall after the service.

Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice 1414 E 11th St, Siler City, NC 27344 or Bennett Baptist Church.
