John LeRoy ("Squirrel") DavieJuly 2, 1947 ~ January 5, 2018 (age 70)
Mr. John LeRoy Davie, 70, of Robbins, N.C., died Friday, January 5, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday January9 2018, from 12-1:45PM at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett, N.C. The funeral will be held at 2:00pm. at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett, NC. with the Reverend Robert Lee Kidd presiding. Burial will immediately follow the service at High Falls U.M.C. Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
John was born in Pickaway County, Ohio on July 2, 1947 to the late Edgar and Beatrice Davie. He is survived by his Two daughters, Julie Davie Flinchum of Seagrove, NC, and Shondra Davie Beck of Highfalls, NC. Two sisters, Darlene Davie of Commercial Point, Ohio, Linda Davie of Asheville, Ohio. Three Brothers, Bill Davie and wife Judy of Circleville, Ohio, Ronald Davie of Commercial Point, Ohio, and Larry Davie of Gainesville, Florida. Four grandchildren, Shania Beck, Braxton Beck, Marcus Garner and Katelyn Maness.
He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army Signal Corps. John worked as a Machinist in Pump Manufacturing for Parker Hannifin in Sanford. He was and is currently a dearly loved employee with Joyce Brady Chapel as a Funeral Assistant. His kind, loving and humble spirit will never be forgotten.
John loved music, dancing and spending time at the beach. He especially loved his family and his many friends.
