Gilda Gray Boone Norton, age 52, of Bonlee-Bennett Road in Siler City, died, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Community Baptist Church in Siler City, with Rev. Mark Agan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Friday, December 19, 2014, at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett.
She was born in Randolph County, and was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Boone, Jr. and Barbara Mabe Boone. She was preceded in death by her father, and Grandchild, Baby Norton. Mrs. Norton had worked as a machine operator in textiles. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Siler City.
She is survived by her husband, Rickey Lynn Norton; Sons- Timothy “TJ” Norton & his wife, Tabatha of Siler City, Anthony “Duke” Norton & his wife Jessica of Siler City; Daughter- Heather Boone of Siler City; Mother-Barbara Dean Boone of the home; Sister-Darlene Garcia & husband Alex of Siler City; Brother- Wade Boone & wife Michelle of Bennett; Grandchildren- Harley Norton, Robert Norton, Grayson Norton, Wyatt Norton, and Ryleigh Norton; Special Friends-Pam Oldham & Margie Edwards; and her beloved pet Buster.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Joyce-Brady Chapel to assist with the family with funeral expenses.
