Earl Brewer

June 11, 1927 — September 13, 2015

Mr. Earl Lee “Pete” Brewer, 88, of Bear Creek died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2015, from 6p.m.-8p.m. at Joyce Brady Chapel in Bennett, N.C.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 2:00p.m., at Fall Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Scott Allmon and Rev. Joe Drum officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery, with Full Military Honors provided by The Randolph County Honor Guard. “Pete”, as he was known to most, was born in 1927, son of the late Bert and Elsie Barker Brewer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving briefly in WW II, in the occupation of Germany. He owned and operated  Brewer’s Poultry for more than 40 years and enjoyed dirt track auto racing and coon hunting in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, a son-in-law and his wife of 67 years, Beatrice. He is survived by two daughters, Carol Lee Phillips  and Patsy Sue Bray both of Bennett, Two sons, Sammy Brewer and wife Cathy of Bear Creek and Alan Brewer and wife Beckie of Bennett; Four sisters, Pauline “Sister” Garner and husband Nolan of Lexington, N.C., Ada Mae Hicks and husband Junior of Littleton, Colorado, Lois Jean Purvis of High Falls and Virginia Seawell and husband Elmer Ray also of High Falls. Six Grandchildren and Five Great-grandchildren.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church-Playground Fund 1745 Fall Creek Church Road Bennett, N.C. 27208 or Community Homecare and Hospice 108 Village Lakes Road Siler City, N.C. 27344.  Online condolences may be offered at www.joycebradychapel.com .
